The Urubamba River, one of the most magnificent rivers in Peru, has many sources, among them the Ucayali River and part of the Amazon River.
The rich Urubamba follows its route through many places around it, these archaeological sites left by the ancient Incas put it on one of the most important rivers of Peru.
Among them are the following.
- Megantoni National Sanctuary
The waterfalls are located in the district of Echarate province of The Convention.
- Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu
It is one of the wonders of the world, this place has around 35 thousand hectares of its natural environment mostly.
- Otishi National Park
This park is composed of mountain forests all over its northern end of the Vilcabamba mountain range. It is a natural reserve of flora and fauna with fascinating waterfalls and dazzling lakes.
- The city of Pisac
It is an archaeological complex that begins one of the great visits in all the journey of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
It is located 30 kilometers from the Imperial City of Cusco.
- Archaeological site of Llactapata
This archaeological complex is located in the region of Cusco, the site is full of walls with Inca niches.
