In ancient times there were many myths about the children of the sun (Wiracocha), most of them are two the best known among them we will tell you this story of the two children of the sun who came out of the lagoon of Titikaka.
They say that the god inti made his children Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo leave the lake titikaka.
I entrust them with the task of founding a new civilization.
The God Wiracocha told them:
My children will leave from Lake Titikaka and must go north in every place where you rest to eat or sleep hit the ground with the golden scepter I gave them where it sinks completely build the capital of the empire and educate the people who follow.
Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo walked for a long time until they reached the Huanacauri hill, where they put their scepter on the ground and it immediately sank.
Manco Cápac and Mama Ocllo founded the city of Cusco following the order of the Sun God (Wiracocha).
In the city of Cusco Manco Capac spoke to the people who had followed them during their tour and told them :
I am the son of the Sun whom we must worship. I will teach you how to cultivate the land, hunt, build canals, houses and how to dress.
Mama Ocllo felt pain in the women’s faces and spoke to them:
Don’t worry, sisters, I will teach you how to take care of your home and how to weave the wool that the vicuñas and alpacas give us to make the clothes we will wear.
Thus was born the Empire of the Sun which based its actions on Inca precepts known as :
Ama sua = Don’t be a Thief
Ama llulla = Don’t be a Liar
“quella = Don’t be lazy
This is how the capital of the imperial city of Cusco was formed.
